Patricia A. Dobmeier 1942-2021 Patricia A. (Murphy) Dobmeier, 79 years, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, was born during a black out in the summer of 1942. Pat spent her early years on the south shore of Long Island, New York, enjoying the beach, Girl Scouting and ice skating on frozen ponds in winter. She and her friends were regular viewers of American Bandstand, keeping up with the music and dances of the 1950s. Her favorite summers were spent at Camp TeAta in Harriman State Park, Central Valley, New York as a camper, a counselor, then a camp nurse. After high school, Pat moved to Buffalo, New York, to study nursing where she met her future husband, Jim. Pat earned her LPN in 1964 and her RN in 1981. Pat and Jim raised their family in the south, primarily in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Pat spent many years as an OR nurse at Dekalb Medical Center, Decatur, Georgia and later as a hospice nurse at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. In 2009, Pat traveled to Northern Ireland to meet her Irish family, a true highlight of her life. Pat is remembered for her remarkable kindness, thoughtfulness and care for others...family, friends and strangers. Along with always seeing the goodness in people, Pat had a quick sense of humor and a ready laugh. Never unkind, she always put others first. Pat is survived and deeply loved by her children, Scott and his wife Donna, Missy and her husband Steven, two beautiful granddaughters, Tori Whitson and her husband Tim, and Lindsey Johnston, several nieces and nephews. Also survived by her sister, Deborah (Murphy) Criscione. Predeceased by her husband, James E. Dobmeier and her parents, John and Catherine Murphy. Arrangements for a memorial mass will be announced at a later time
